About this spot

This shrine, long cherished as the guardian deity of Haibara, sits on a rise looking down over the town of Haibara in Uda City. As you step onto the approach the air changes, and vermilion-lacquered shrine buildings appear among the trees. The precincts are not too large, which is a relief when walking with small children who might otherwise wander off. Touching the clear water that runs through the grounds naturally builds anticipation for the water play to come. Ask here first for a safe day, then set off at an easy pace.

宇陀市の「平成榛原こどものもり公園水糸の滝(じゃぶじゃぶ池)」は、2026年5月2日(土)より利用できるようになった無料の水遊び場です。小さな子どもも安心して遊べる人気の水辺で、浅い流れに足をひたすだけでも十分に涼めます。同じ園内には恐竜をイメージした全長400mの回廊型大型遊具「恐竜の国」があり、水と遊具を行き来しながら遊べるのがこの公園の強みです。エアコン完備の多目的ホールや、おままごとコーナー・幼児コーナーといった室内遊具もあるので、日差しが強い時間帯や小雨のときの逃げ場にも困りません。総面積14.6haと広く、木陰を選んでレジャーシートを広げれば一日中のんびり過ごせます。有料のキャンプ場・バーベキュー場も併設されているので、慣れてきたら次の計画にもつなげられます。

Tips

入園は無料ですが、駐車場は軽・普通車が平日500円・土日祝800円、大型車2,000円です。開園時間は4〜9月が9:00〜18:00、毎週火曜が休園日(祝日の場合は直近平日に振替)なので曜日を必ず確認してください。シーズンの終了時期は未発表のため、9月以降に訪れる場合は宇陀市の公式案内で当日の状況を確かめましょう。水遊びのあとは着替えと水分補給を早めに行い、木陰と室内をうまく使って休憩をはさむと最後まで元気に遊べます。

Tips

Visiting is free. There are stone steps, so it is safer to leave the stroller at the bottom and carry your child up. The shrine office is not open at all hours, so if you want a goshuin seal stamp, early morning is the sure bet. Telling the children in advance not to run in the precincts will keep things smooth.
