Mizuito Falls (splash pond) at Heisei Haibara Children's Forest Park in Uda City is a free water-play area that became available from Saturday, May 2, 2026. It is a popular waterside where even small children can play safely, and just dipping your feet in the shallow flow is enough to cool off. In the same park stands the Land of Dinosaurs, a 400-meter-long corridor-style play structure themed on dinosaurs, and being able to move back and forth between the water and the equipment is this park's real strength. There are also indoor play facilities, including an air-conditioned multipurpose hall, a play-house corner, and a toddler corner, so you are never short of somewhere to escape strong sunshine or light rain. At 14.6 hectares in total, the park is roomy, and picking a shady spot for your picnic sheet lets you spend the whole day at ease. A paid campground and barbecue area are attached as well, so once you know the place it can lead straight into your next plan.

Tips

Admission is free, but parking costs 500 yen on weekdays and 800 yen on weekends and holidays for kei and standard cars, and 2,000 yen for large vehicles. Opening hours are 9:00-18:00 from April to September, and the park is closed every Tuesday (moved to the nearest weekday when that Tuesday falls on a public holiday), so be sure to check the day of the week. The end of the season has not been announced, so if you visit from September onward, check the conditions for that day through Uda City's official information. After the water play, change clothes and rehydrate promptly, and working in breaks that use the shade and the indoor spaces well will keep everyone going to the end.
