宮城県白石市の材木岩公園にある、無料の「材木岩公園(水と石との語らいの公園) 親水広場・親水路」です。噴水と岩でつくられた浅いプール状の広場と、そこから続く親水路が整えられていて、小さな子でも水にふれて安心して遊べます。背後には国の天然記念物である材木岩がそびえ、岩と水が一体になった景色の中で過ごせるのがこの公園ならではの体験です。園内には売店と氷室、釣り堀、農家レストランがそろっているので、外に出ずに一日を組み立てられます。谷あいで水が冷たく、真夏でも街なかより涼しく感じられるのが大きな魅力です。料金は無料なので、暑い日の午後だけ涼みに立ち寄る使い方もできます。
