Hinata Miyazaki Prefectural Sports Park Splash Pool

About this spot

The Hinata Miyazaki Prefectural Sports Park Splash Pool is a free water-play area in the playground of Miyazaki City. In 2026 it is open from Wednesday, July 15 to Sunday, August 30, from 10:00 to 15:00. The opening was originally planned for Friday, July 10, but was changed to Wednesday, July 15 due to an inspection after a fault in the water-play facility. The water is shallow at about 10 cm, a reassuring depth where even children who have only just started walking can sit down and splash. The same playground has large play equipment and a lawn area, so children can keep playing at their own pace: the playground when they tire of the water, the lawn for a rest when they get chilly. Admission is free and there are vending machines, so it is easy to drop in.

Tips

It is closed every Monday and Tuesday. However, Tuesday, August 11 is open because it is a public holiday. Use may be suspended in rain or stormy weather, so check the weather and any announcements from the park before setting out. Small children must be accompanied by a guardian, so adults should also wear clothes that can get wet. Parking is free on weekdays and paid on weekends and holidays. Closing is exactly at 15:00, so allowing time to change and starting to wrap up around 14:40 leaves you comfortable.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 50 minutes. Arriving in the 13:00 hour gives you plenty of time to play until closing.
