This pedestrian-only walkway is built into the lower level of Shinminato Bridge (新湊大橋), which spans Toyama Shinko Port (富山新港). Because you walk high above the water, the view down onto ships at berth and cranes at work is impressive. You can go up by elevator, so even families with small children can make the round trip without strain. The passage is enclosed by roof and walls, letting you walk out of direct sunlight, which is a great help in summer. You can enter from the Kaiwomaru Park side, so it follows on smoothly from the morning itinerary.

「富山新港元気の森公園じゃぶじゃぶ池」は、射水市の富山新港元気の森公園にある無料の水遊び場です。開設は令和8年7月20日(月)から8月31日(月)まで、公園の開場時間は9:00から17:00で、水曜が休館日です。池は広く取られているため、混み合う日でも子どもが伸び伸び走り回れる余裕があります。園内には幼児・児童向けの遊具ひろば、36ホールのパークゴルフ場、円形広場、見晴らしの丘、せせらぎ、休憩所がそろっていて、水に飽きたら遊具、遊具に飽きたらまた水と一日中遊び続けられます。見晴らしの丘からは富山新港を望むことができ、水遊びの合間の散歩も楽しみのひとつです。利用は無料なので、短時間だけ立ち寄る使い方もできます。

Tips

水曜は休館日なので日程を決めるときに必ず確認してください。開場は17:00までなので、16:30には水から上がって着替えの時間を確保しておくと落ち着いて帰れます。池の底は滑りやすいため、マリンシューズなど足を守れる履き物を用意しましょう。休憩所があるので、荷物置き場と待ち合わせ場所を先に決めておくと安心です。30分に一度は日陰で休み、水分をこまめに取ってください。おむつが取れていない子は水遊び用おむつを準備しましょう。

Tips

The hours when the walkway is open are fixed, so check before heading over. The elevator can get crowded, so allow extra time. Since it is an out-and-back walk, it is reassuring to be ready to turn back partway if the little ones tire. The passage is breezy and cool inside, and strollers can pass through.
