The Toyama Shinko Genki no Mori Park Splash Pool is a free water-play area in Toyama Shinko Genki no Mori Park in Imizu City. It is open from Monday, July 20, 2026 to Monday, August 31, 2026; the park is open from 9:00 to 17:00 and closed on Wednesdays. The pool is generously sized, so even on busy days there is room for children to run about freely. The grounds also include a playground for toddlers and older children, a 36-hole park golf course, a circular plaza, Lookout Hill, a babbling stream and a rest house, so when they tire of the water they can play on the equipment, and when they tire of that, back to the water again, all day long. Toyama Shinko Port (富山新港) can be seen from Lookout Hill, and a stroll between spells of water play is one of the pleasures here. Since it is free, you can also just drop in for a short while.

Tips

It is closed on Wednesdays, so be sure to check this when setting your date. The park closes at 17:00, so getting out of the water by 16:30 to allow time to change means an unhurried trip home. The bottom of the pool is slippery, so bring footwear that protects the feet, such as water shoes. There is a rest house, so deciding on a spot for your belongings and a meeting point first is reassuring. Take a break in the shade at least once every 30 minutes and drink water frequently. For children not yet out of diapers, prepare swim diapers.
