This roadside station in Takaoka City is popular for its farm-direct corner lined with locally grown vegetables and fruit. Seasonal produce rotates through the year, so simply walking around and wondering aloud with your children about what each item is can be enjoyable in itself. There is a place to eat, making it a good stop to fuel up for the afternoon water play. Stock up on drinks and snacks here too, and you will not be rushing once you reach the park. It is a short drive from here to the Jabujabu Pond.

Tips

The farm-direct selection is fullest in the morning, and popular vegetables can sell out in the afternoon. Check the opening hours and closing days in advance. An insulated bag is reassuring if you buy fresh produce. The car park gets busy at lunchtime on weekends and holidays, so stopping a little earlier makes for a calmer visit.
