山口市の維新百年記念公園にある無料の水遊び場「維新百年記念公園徒渉池」です。2026年(令和8年)は7月18日(土)から8月31日(月)まで、10:00〜18:00に開設されます。名前のとおり歩いて渡れる浅さの池で、水を怖がる子でも自分の足で入っていける安心感があります。同じ公園内の「いこいの水広場」とは別の施設で、開設期間も休みの曜日も違うため、目的の池が開いている日かどうかを事前に確かめておきましょう。まわりは芝生と木立なので、レジャーシートを広げて休憩をはさみながら長く過ごせます。夏休み限定の開設なので、期間中に一度は足を運びたい場所です。

Tips

木曜日は終日利用できません。大雨など悪天候時も利用中止になるので、出発前に公式サイトで当日の開設状況を確認してください。小さな子どもは必ず保護者が付き添いましょう。ペットは同伴できません。日陰は限られるので帽子と飲み物を忘れずに。遊んだあとは水道で足元を流し、着替えを済ませてから帰路につくと車内が快適です。

Tips

Admission differs between the collection exhibition and special exhibitions. Check opening days, fees and exhibition content on the official website in advance. You can go around with a stroller, but the building is quiet, so a word to small children beforehand is reassuring. It adjoins Kameyama Park, and you can walk from here to the next stop, the St. Francis Xavier Memorial Church.
