Wakuwaku Land Fountain Plaza (Michi-no-Eki Tendo Onsen) is the free water-play area inside Wakuwaku Land, adjoining the Michi-no-Eki Tendo Onsen roadside station. Three kinds of fountains shoot up, and every change in the water brings cheers. Large play structures and a multi-purpose field sit right beside it, so children can keep going at their own pace — playground when they tire of the water, water again when they tire of the playground. A diaper-changing area means families with babies can settle in comfortably. With the roadside station on the same grounds, drinks, food and forgotten items are never a problem. The opening period has not been announced; in past years it has run during the summer holidays.

Tips

Tendo City does not state the operating period officially and notes that the fountains may be stopped due to weather or inspections. Please check the fountain status in advance with Mori-na Tendo (023-651-2002). The fountain water is disinfected but is not drinking water, so tell children not to drink it. Admission is free, but fees apply for exclusive use of the multi-purpose field and for use of the attached facilities. Children not yet out of diapers need swim diapers.

Best time to visit

About 2 hours 30 minutes. The afternoon, when the sun softens, is best and lets you play at an easy pace until evening
