The Misaka Togenkyo Park Water Play Plaza / Splash Pond is a water play area about 35 cm deep that opens in summer. It connects to the small stream running through the grounds, so children can soak in the pond or follow the current on foot, giving a wide range of ways to play. Use is free, and from April to September the park is open until 20:00 from 8:30, so you can stay comfortably into the cool evening hours. Around it, the 40,000-square-meter grounds offer a lawn area, slides and adventure equipment, and forest-bathing walking paths, so there is plenty to do once you are out of the water. Surrounded by the fruit orchards typical of Fuefuki City, a peach-growing region, it is a place to enjoy summer freely.

Use is free. The splash pond opening period has not been announced (usually summer), so be sure to check the official Fuefuki City page (https://www.city.fuefuki.yamanashi.jp/shisetsu/koen/001.html) before setting out. At about 35 cm, some spots are not shallow for small children, so an adult must always stay with them. Changing areas are limited, so a pop-up tent or a bath towel poncho is handy. The park stays open until dusk, but insects come out in the evening, so insect repellent makes it more comfortable.

Arriving at 13:40 gives you nearly three unhurried hours until the sun starts to set.
