The Seiryu Park Midori-no-Hiroba Waterside Zone is an area for water play built to evoke the clear stream of the Fuefuki River (笛吹川). Fuefuki City describes it as ideal for children's water play, and use is free. The water is not deep, so even small children can go in safely alongside a guardian. Midori-no-Hiroba has a lawn stage that is sometimes used for open-air concerts, so on some days you may come across an event. The car park is available from 9:00 to 22:00, which is a relief when you want to stay without watching the clock. It is close to the center of Isawa Onsen and easy to reach from the town, another welcome condition for families.

Admission is free. The opening period has not been announced (usually the summer season), so be sure to check the official Fuefuki City page (https://www.city.fuefuki.yamanashi.jp/shisetsu/koen/004.html) before you set out. Car park hours are 9:00 to 22:00. Shade is limited, so a pop-up tent or tarp makes things more comfortable. Being close to the Fuefuki River, decide to turn back rather than push on when the water is high or after rain. Changing space is limited, so a towel poncho is reassuring.

Best time to visit

Arrive at 13:40 and you can play at an easy pace for nearly 3 hours until the sun sinks
