The Fukumitsu Park Wading Pool (children's pool) is a free water-play spot in Fukumitsu Park (初日町2丁目18) in the Nagara-nishi district of Gifu City. In 2026 it opens on a total of 18 days between July 21 and August 21, from 13:00 to 16:00. Because it is a shallow wading pool, even small children who cannot swim yet can walk on their own feet and get comfortable in the water. It is intended in principle for children in the third grade of elementary school and younger; preschoolers must be accompanied by a guardian, and infants who are not out of diapers cannot use it. Opening days follow Gifu City's schedule, and in bad weather a red flag is raised and the pool closes. After a cool morning indoors, this is the time to move around freely.

Tips
Use is free. You can tell whether it is open that day from the flag on site (a red flag means closed). Wearing swimsuits under clothes makes changing on site simple. Shade is limited, so bring a picnic sheet and plenty of drinks. Since it closes at 16:00, start packing up around 15:45.
