A free water-play spot, the Ota Kita Park Wading Pool (太田北公園 徒渉池), a children's pool at Ota Kita Park in the Nagara Nishi district of Gifu City (福光東1丁目34). In 2026 it opens on a total of 18 days between July 22 and August 29, from 13:00 to 16:00. The water is shallow, so even small children who cannot swim yet can walk on their own feet and get used to the water. As a rule it is for children in the third year of elementary school and under; preschoolers must be accompanied by a guardian, and infants not yet out of diapers cannot use it. Opening days follow Gifu City's schedule, and in bad weather a red flag is raised and it is closed. In contrast to a quiet indoor morning, the afternoon is time to play out loud.
