This is the free water-play spot called the Soden-higashi Park Wading Pool (早田東公園 徒渉池), a children's pool in Soden-higashi Park (早田東公園) at 早田東町4丁目40 in the Soden district of Gifu City. In 2026 it opens on a total of 18 days between July 21 and August 7, from 13:00 to 16:00. The water is shallow, so even small children who cannot swim yet can walk on their own feet and get used to the water. It is intended in principle for children in the third grade of elementary school or younger; preschoolers must be accompanied by a guardian, and infants who are not yet out of diapers cannot use it. Opening days follow the schedule from Gifu City, and in bad weather a red flag is raised and the pool is cancelled. Because it sits inside a residential area, it has an easygoing feel where you play among the local children.

Tips

Use is free. You can check whether it is running that day by the flag on site; a red flag is the sign that it is cancelled. Putting swimwear on under clothes makes changing smooth. Shade is limited, so have a picnic sheet and plenty to drink ready. It ends at 16:00, so please start packing up around 15:45.

Right after the 13:00 opening it is uncrowded and the water is still clean
