This is the Nagare Park Wading Pool for Children (流公園 徒渉池), a free water-play spot in Nagare Park in the Iwa district of Gifu City (岩田字流5-54). In 2026 it opens on a total of 18 days between July 22 and August 10, from 13:00 to 16:00. The water is shallow, so even small children who cannot swim yet can get used to the water while walking on their own feet. It is intended in principle for children up to the third grade of elementary school; preschool children must be accompanied by a guardian, and infants not yet out of diapers may not use it. Opening days follow the Gifu City schedule, and in bad weather a red flag goes up and the pool closes. Set in a quiet residential area in the east of the city, it is a place where you can play casually alongside local children.

Tips
Use is free. You can check whether it is open on the day by the flag on site (a red flag means closed). Wearing swimsuits under clothing makes changing quick. The ground gets hot, so sandals for water play protect little feet. It ends at 16:00, so start packing up around 15:45.
Best time to visit
Right after the 13:00 opening it is uncrowded and the water is at its cleanest
