Kano Park Wading Pool (加納公園 徒渉池), a children's paddling pool

About this spot

The Kano Park Wading Pool (加納公園 徒渉池) is a free water play area in Kano Park in the Kano district of Gifu City (Kano Marunouchi 4). In 2026 it opens on a total of 28 days between July 18 and August 24, from 13:00 to 16:00. Kano Park was laid out on the site of Kano Castle, and being able to play while looking at the stone walls that remain around it is the charm unique to this place. The water is shallow, so even small children who cannot swim yet can get used to the water on their own two feet. It is intended in principle for children up to the third grade of elementary school; preschoolers must be accompanied by a guardian, and infants who are not yet out of diapers cannot use it. Opening days follow the Gifu City schedule, and in bad weather a red flag is raised and the pool is closed.
