About this spot

A facility near the entrance to Kisogawa Suien where you can learn about river nature. Specimens and explanations of the fish, insects, and birds that live in the Kiso River are on display, and seasonal nature-observation events and craft workshops are also held. Being indoors, it lets you spend the strong-sunlight morning hours in comfort, and it doubles as preparation for the creatures you might meet later at the Jabu-Jabu Riverbed. The exhibits are compact, small enough for young children to see everything before their attention runs out. Ask the staff and they will tell you about the day's conditions in the water park and what to look out for.

各務原市の国営木曽三川公園河川環境楽園木曽川水園の中にある無料の水遊び場「河川環境楽園木曽川水園じゃぶじゃぶの河原」です。木曽川水園の開園時間中に利用でき、夏季は9:30から18:00までが遊べる時間になります。浅くて穏やかな流れの人工の水辺なので、川遊びが初めての小さな子でも自分の足で入っていけます。丸い石が敷かれた河原では、石をそっとひっくり返して生きものを探す遊びも楽しめます。7月18日(土)から8月23日(日)までは「夏の楽園祭」が開かれ、アユのつかみ取りなど夏ならではの催しも行われます。午前に自然発見館で学んだことを、実際の水辺で確かめられるのがこのコースのいちばんの醍醐味です。

Tips

利用は無料です。人工の水辺とはいえ石で足を切ることがあるため、水遊び用サンダルやマリンシューズを必ず用意してください。更衣室は想定せず、水着を服の下に着てから出かけると着替えがスムーズです。夏の楽園祭のイベント日程や参加方法は公式サイトで事前に確認を。増水や悪天候のときは利用が制限されることがあるので、当日の案内に従ってください。夏季の閉園は18:00なので、17時半には片づけを始めると余裕をもって帰れます。

Tips

Admission is free. Hands-on programs change from day to day and some require a materials fee, so check the on-site information for that day's schedule. You can enter with a stroller. It is a good idea to use the restroom before setting off through the water park.
