About this spot

One of the highlights of Motomaru Park is its play structure, a full 12 meters tall. Climb to the top and you can see the whole park, and the rush of coming down the long slide in one go is hugely popular with elementary schoolers. There is also inclusive equipment that children in wheelchairs can enjoy together with others, plus a toddler play area for children just finding their feet, so siblings of different ages and physical abilities can play in the same place. Getting the body moving before the water play makes the water feel that much better. The Motomaru Cafe & Marche in the park means you will never be stuck for extra drinks or snacks.

本巣市のもとまるパークにある無料の水遊び場「もとまるパークせせらぎ水路・ミスト噴水」です。夏季限定で8:30から17:00の間に水が流れ、中に入って遊べるせせらぎ水路とミスト噴水が涼しさをつくってくれます。水路は浅くつくられているので、まだ泳げない小さな子でも自分の足で歩きながら水に親しめます。ミスト噴水は水に入るのが苦手な子でも霧を浴びるところから楽しめるので、きょうだいで遊び方を選べるのがうれしいところ。すぐそばに大型遊具と芝生広場があり、水にあきたら遊具、疲れたら木陰でひと休みと、自由に行き来できます。園内の「もとまるカフェ＆マルシェ」で飲み物やおやつを補給できるのも、長く過ごすうえで心強い点です。

2026年の開設期間は未発表です。実施の有無は出発前に本巣市の公式サイトで確認してください。雨天や強風時は安全のため水が自動で止まります。稼働時間は8:30から17:00なので、17時を目安に片づけを始めましょう。更衣室は想定せず、水着を服の下に着てから出かけると着替えがスムーズです。水路の底で足を痛めないよう、水遊び用サンダルやマリンシューズを用意してください。日陰が限られるので、レジャーシートと帽子、多めの飲み物を忘れずに。

Tips

Use is free. In midsummer the metal parts and slides get hot, so check the temperature with your hand before playing. Shade is limited, so spreading a picnic sheet under a tree to set up a rest base makes things more comfortable. Keep topping up water from your bottle regularly.
