Goshono Jomon Park (御所野縄文公園)

About this spot

This is the site of a Jomon-period settlement of about 4,000 years ago, located in Ichinohe Town. As one component of the World Heritage Jomon Prehistoric Sites in Northern Japan, it has earth-roofed pit dwellings reconstructed on a green plateau, letting you experience the shape of the ancient village as you walk. At the adjacent Goshono Jomon Museum (御所野縄文博物館) you can see excavated pottery and stone tools along with exhibits on daily life, and connecting the buildings seen outside with the exhibits inside deepens children's understanding all at once. The paths are wide with good sightlines, so it is reassuring that you can keep an eye on small children even if they run ahead. Because you can combine outdoor and indoor viewing, you can tour it while cooling off even on a hot day.

二戸郡一戸町のいちのへ花の丘公園にある無料の水遊び場が「いちのへ花の丘公園子供池（噴水水遊び場）」です。噴水が吹き上がる浅い池で、水深は0cmから19cmまでと非常に浅く、まだ泳げない小さな子でも安心して水にふれられます。2026年は6月27日(土)から噴水が稼働し、稼働時間は10時から17時まで。水柱をくぐったり、噴き出す水を追いかけたりと、プールとはひと味違う遊び方ができるのがこの水遊び場の魅力です。まわりには花の丘の園地と芝生広場が広がっているので、水から上がったあとは日なたで体を乾かしながらのんびり過ごせます。高台の見晴らしのよさもあわせて、一戸町の夏の定番おでかけ先です。

一戸町が公表している稼働予定表(2026年6月25日更新)は7月31日(金)までの内容で、7月24日(金)までは主に土日、7月25日(土)から31日(金)までは連日稼働です。8月以降の稼働予定は未発表なので、出発前に一戸町の案内で必ず確認してください。降雨が予想される場合は噴水を稼働しません。天気予報が微妙な日は、出発前に現地の稼働状況を確かめるのが確実です。池の底で足を滑らせないよう、マリンシューズなど足を守れる履物を用意しましょう。おむつが取れていない子の入水可否は現地の掲示に従ってください。日陰が限られるので日よけとこまめな水分補給を忘れずに。ゴミは各自持ち帰りです。

Tips

The museum has set opening hours and closing days, and an admission fee applies. Conditions may differ between the outdoor grounds and the museum, so check the official information for that day's opening status. There is little to block the sun on top of the plateau, so a hat and drinks are essential. The grounds are undulating, and there are places where a stroller can and cannot be pushed. Even where you can enter a pit dwelling, tell children in advance not to touch the hearth traces or the posts.
