It is a shallow pond with fountains shooting upward, and at only 0 cm to 19 cm deep, even small children who cannot yet swim can touch the water safely. In 2026 the fountains start running on Saturday, June 27, with operating hours from 10:00 to 17:00. Ducking under the water columns and chasing the jets makes for a style of play quite different from a pool, and that is the charm of this water play area. The flower-hill grounds and lawn area spread out around it, so once you come out of the water you can dry off in the sun and take it easy. Together with the fine views from the high ground, it is a staple summer outing in Ichinohe Town.

The operating schedule published by Ichinohe Town (updated June 25, 2026) covers the period through Friday, July 31: mainly weekends through Friday, July 24, then daily from Saturday, July 25 to Friday, July 31. The schedule from August onward has not been announced, so be sure to check with Ichinohe Town before you set out. The fountains do not run when rain is forecast. On days when the forecast is uncertain, confirming the on-site operating status before you leave is the sure approach. To avoid slipping on the bottom of the pond, prepare footwear that protects the feet, such as marine shoes. Follow the on-site notices regarding whether children who are not yet toilet-trained may enter the water. Shade is limited, so do not forget sun protection and frequent hydration. Everyone takes their own rubbish home.
