A dam on the upper reaches of the Kandogawa River (神戸川), which flows through Iinan Town. Looking up at the dam body from close range, children cannot help but cry out at its height and scale. Head around to the reservoir side and a quiet expanse of water surrounded by mountains opens up, letting you take in the highland scenery at your leisure. Considering that water from the same land as the famous Shizumi spring feeding the Jabu-Jabu Pond gathers here changes how the afternoon's water play looks. A short stay is enough, so it is an easygoing scenic stop along the drive.

東三瓶フラワーバレーじゃぶじゃぶ池は、飯石郡飯南町の東三瓶フラワーバレーにある無料の水遊び場です。志津見の名水の湧水を引き込んだ池で、水深は15〜20cmほどと浅く、歩き始めの小さな子でも足をつけて遊べます。湧水なので水は驚くほど冷たく、真夏でも長く入っていると体が冷えるほど。山に囲まれた立地で、平地より過ごしやすい気候も夏のおでかけには大きな魅力です。園内にはイベント広場や水汲み場もあり、名水を汲んで帰る人の姿も見られます。4月から10月の日曜・祝日には「やまめの渓」で釣り堀やつかみ取りが開かれ、水遊びと合わせて1日を組み立てられます。

Tips

管理者は常駐していないため、自己責任での利用になります。大人が必ずそばで見守り、子どもだけで遊ばせないでください。開設期間は未発表なので、出発前に公式サイト(https://flowervalley.jp/)で当日の状況を確認してください。湧水は水温が低く、唇が青くなる前に上がって休憩をはさむのが安全です。羽織れるものとタオルを多めに持って行きましょう。やまめの渓の実施日や料金、うぐいす茶屋の営業も事前確認をおすすめします。おむつが取れていない子は水遊び用おむつを用意してください。

Tips

Follow the on-site signs regarding where you may go and where to park. Do not enter areas without railings, and keep your eyes on your children. There is little shade, so do not forget a hat and drinks. Viewing may be restricted depending on the weather.
