About this spot

The large play structure ‘Kyu-no-Oka,’ next to the Great Lawn Plaza, is the liveliest spot in Bihoku Hills Park. Slides, nets, tunnels, and more are combined into a three-dimensional structure that kids of any age, from toddlers to elementary schoolers, can enjoy. The recommended order is to first spread out a sheet on the lawn and eat a boxed lunch, rest your body, and then head to the play structure. Since the Bikkuri Shower is right in front of the equipment, once you've worked up a sweat you can move straight into water play. With such a wide lawn, kids will be satisfied just running around.

Tips

There's little shade on the lawn, so secure a shady spot early. The play equipment can get hot from the sun in summer. Touch the surface of the slide to check the temperature before letting kids play on it. As a rule, take your trash home with you. Since distances within the park are long, asking about the in-park bus or rental bicycle schedule at the entrance makes it easier to get around.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 20 minutes. It's comfortable to take a break after lunch before heading to the play structure
