Komaki City General Park Shimin Shiki no Mori Rainbow Falls
About this spot
This is the free water playground in Shimin Shiki no Mori in Komaki City, Komaki City General Park Shimin Shiki no Mori Rainbow Falls. The mist runs from March 1 (Sun) to October 31 (Sat), and from June to August it operates from 9:00 to 19:00, so you can enjoy it late into the evening. It is suspended from around November to around February, so visit between spring and autumn if water play is your goal. Dashing through the fine falling mist is easy to enjoy even for small children who dislike deep water, and that is its charm. The park has seven restrooms, six of which are wheelchair accessible and fitted with baby changing tables, and a nursing room is provided inside the Sori Suberi management building. Admission is free, so a brief evening stop works too.

Tips
The second and fourth Thursdays in May, and every Thursday from June to September, are cleaning days when you cannot enter the water. The fourth Thursday is also a closed day, so planning around Thursdays is the sure approach. From June to August the mist runs until 19:00, so you can also plan to avoid the sun and play from the evening. The ground is slippery, so water shoes will give you peace of mind. After playing in the water, rinse off thoroughly, and taking breaks in the shade of the trees between play will help prevent heatstroke.
Best time to visit
About 3 hours. The afternoon, when the sunlight softens, is recommended, and in summer the evening hours are especially cool
