This is the free water play spot spreading along the Yahagi River (矢作川) in Toyota City, the Toyota City Central Park (Toyota Stadium) Grand Fountain and Splash Pond. Following the usual annual schedule, in 2026 the water is expected to run from Sunday, April 26 to Monday, October 5, from 9:00 to 18:00 (the 2026 announcement has not been posted yet). The grand fountain is near the event plaza west of the stadium, and just watching the high column of water is impressive. The splash pond sits beside the combination play equipment on the north side of the stadium, so children can keep playing at their own pace: the equipment when they tire of the water, and the water again when they tire of the equipment. The scenery with the large Toyota Stadium in the background makes for photos unique to this park. Since it is free, you can also just stop by briefly in the evening.

Tips

The water does not run in rain or strong wind, and it is suspended right after heavy rain or a typhoon and during large-scale events. Parking also gets crowded on days with matches or events, so check the event schedule and that day's operation on the official website before you set out. The water runs until 18:00, so you can also plan to play in the evening when the sunlight softens. The ground is slippery, so water shoes bring peace of mind. After water play, rinse off well and take breaks in the shade between play to prevent heatstroke.
