About this spot

This vast prefectural park in Owariasahi City is a nature-rich place where coppice woodland and ponds spread out. The paths continuing beneath the groves are shielded from the sun, which is welcome because they are easy to walk even in the hot season. Around the ponds you can look for dragonflies and fish, so for children the walking itself becomes an expedition. The park has a botanical garden where you can see the seasonal flowers and trees all in one place. Shiroyama Park (城山公園) is close by, so a morning stroll and afternoon water play connect without strain.

尾張旭市の城山公園にある無料の水遊び場、「城山公園せせらぎ」です。公式の表記は「4月下旬から10月上旬まで」で、例年の運用にならえば2026年は4月25日(土)から10月5日(月)まで、10:00〜17:00に水が流れます。場所は園内の長池の北東側で、浅い流れなので歩いて渡ったり座り込んだりと、小さな子でも自分のペースで遊べます。同じ園内にスカイワードあさひとスカイパークがあるため、水に飽きたら塔や遊具へ、涼しくなったらまた水へと行き来できるのがこの公園の強み。料金は無料なので、夕方に少しだけ立ち寄る使い方もできます。

Tips

諸般の事情により予告なく停止することがあるため、出発前に尾張旭市の公式サイトで当日の稼働を確認してください。石の上は滑りやすいので、足の裏を守れるマリンシューズがあると安心です。17:00に水が止まるので、片付けと着替えの時間を逆算して16時半ごろには上がると落ち着いて帰れます。水遊び後は体をよく流し、木陰で休憩をはさみながら遊ぶと熱中症を防げます。

Tips

Admission arrangements may differ between the park grounds and the botanical garden, so please check fees and opening hours on the official website in advance. There are dirt paths and slopes, so shoes that are easier to walk in are safer than sandals. There are seasons with many mosquitoes and insects, so bringing insect repellent makes for a more comfortable walk.
