About this spot

This tower standing inside Shiroyama Park (城山公園) has become a symbol of Owariasahi City. From the observation room on the upper floor you can see the urban area, the surrounding greenery, and on clear days even distant mountain ranges. Viewing the park you are about to play in from above makes the locations of the stream and the play equipment clear at a glance, making it easy for the family to discuss how to spend the afternoon. The interior is air-conditioned, making it a good spot to cool down after walking outside. Since you can go up by elevator, it is no burden even with a stroller or small children.

尾張旭市の城山公園にある無料の水遊び場、「城山公園せせらぎ」です。公式の表記は「4月下旬から10月上旬まで」で、例年の運用にならえば2026年は4月25日(土)から10月5日(月)まで、10:00〜17:00に水が流れます。場所は園内の長池の北東側で、浅い流れなので歩いて渡ったり座り込んだりと、小さな子でも自分のペースで遊べます。同じ園内にスカイワードあさひとスカイパークがあるため、水に飽きたら塔や遊具へ、涼しくなったらまた水へと行き来できるのがこの公園の強み。料金は無料なので、夕方に少しだけ立ち寄る使い方もできます。

Tips

諸般の事情により予告なく停止することがあるため、出発前に尾張旭市の公式サイトで当日の稼働を確認してください。石の上は滑りやすいので、足の裏を守れるマリンシューズがあると安心です。17:00に水が止まるので、片付けと着替えの時間を逆算して16時半ごろには上がると落ち着いて帰れます。水遊び後は体をよく流し、木陰で休憩をはさみながら遊ぶと熱中症を防げます。

Tips

Please check closing days, opening hours and the conditions for using the observation room on the city's official website in advance. Sunlight can be strong by the windows, so take your hat and drinks in with you. Since you will spread out your packed lunch on the park lawn afterward, you may leave your luggage in the car.
