About this spot

A hands-on facility run by Hekinan City with farming as its theme. Greenhouses and fields adjoin the building, offering seasonal vegetable-harvesting experiences, while the farm stand is stocked with locally grown produce and processed goods. Hekinan is known as a production area for carrots, onions, and more, and simply browsing the shelves conveys how deep the region's agriculture runs. Children take an interest just from seeing the furrows and the ripening vegetables, so even a quick look around while shopping is plenty of fun. Stop by in the cool of the morning to get ready for the afternoon's water play.

碧南市の臨海公園にある無料の水遊び場、「碧南市臨海公園じゃぶじゃぶ池」です。年度単位(4月1日〜翌3月31日)の通年開設で、季節限定という記載はなく、開設期間や時間の公表もされていません。ミスト噴水とトンネル噴水のある親水空間になっていて、霧を浴びたり水のアーチをくぐったりと、深い水が苦手な小さな子でも自分のペースで遊べます。園内にはほかにも大噴水・せせらぎ・くじら池があり、水にまつわる場所を巡り歩くだけで午後があっという間に過ぎていきます。海に面した公園なので、遊び疲れたら潮風の中で休むこともできます。料金は無料なので、短時間だけ立ち寄る使い方もできます。

8月25日(火)は噴水の清掃・点検のため、くじら池・せせらぎ・じゃぶじゃぶ池・大噴水への立ち入りができません。この日は避けて計画してください。開設時間の公表がないため、訪問前に碧南市の公式サイトで当日の稼働を確認しておくと確実です。足元が滑りやすいのでマリンシューズがあると安心。水遊び後は体をよく流し、木陰で休憩をはさみながら遊ぶと熱中症を防げます。
