About this spot

A park run by Hekinan City with playground equipment and small rides. The Ferris wheel, merry-go-round, and other attractions are just the right scale to enjoy without bracing yourself for a big amusement park. Rides are paid for one at a time, so you can play for just a short while depending on your child's energy. With lawns and shaded benches, it is also well suited to spreading a picnic sheet and eating a packed lunch. Rinkai Park is only a short drive away, so you will not lose time travelling before the afternoon's water play.

碧南市の臨海公園にある無料の水遊び場、「碧南市臨海公園じゃぶじゃぶ池」です。年度単位(4月1日〜翌3月31日)の通年開設で、季節限定という記載はなく、開設期間や時間の公表もされていません。ミスト噴水とトンネル噴水のある親水空間になっていて、霧を浴びたり水のアーチをくぐったりと、深い水が苦手な小さな子でも自分のペースで遊べます。園内にはほかにも大噴水・せせらぎ・くじら池があり、水にまつわる場所を巡り歩くだけで午後があっという間に過ぎていきます。海に面した公園なので、遊び疲れたら潮風の中で休むこともできます。料金は無料なので、短時間だけ立ち寄る使い方もできます。

Tips

8月25日(火)は噴水の清掃・点検のため、くじら池・せせらぎ・じゃぶじゃぶ池・大噴水への立ち入りができません。この日は避けて計画してください。開設時間の公表がないため、訪問前に碧南市の公式サイトで当日の稼働を確認しておくと確実です。足元が滑りやすいのでマリンシューズがあると安心。水遊び後は体をよく流し、木陰で休憩をはさみながら遊ぶと熱中症を防げます。

Tips

Check ride prices and closed days on the official website in advance. Waiting outdoors gets hot in midsummer daytime, so do not forget a hat and drinks. As a rule, take your rubbish home with you. Getting into the water right after eating is hard on the body, so slotting in the aquarium before the water play makes for a comfortable pace.
