Minami Waterside Park is a free park in Tsubame City with ponds and channels where you can get close to the water and interact with living creatures. The water-play period has not been announced; the park itself is open around the clock, and the rest room is open from July 1 to August 31, from 9:00 to 17:30. The water is shallow, so even small children can put their feet in and play, and no amount of time is enough for hunting creatures with a net. Once you come out of the water, you can run up the grass-sledding hill and warm up on play equipment you will not find at other parks; that ability to switch is what makes this park fun. The restrooms on the management building side are available at any hour, so changing clothes and washing hands between water sessions is no trouble. Thanks to the rest room, families can also secure a place to catch their breath in the middle of a midsummer day.

The rest room is open from July 1 to August 31, from 9:00 to 17:30. Once you have observed a creature, please return it to where you found it. The bottom of the waterside is slippery, so have children wear sandals or water shoes that will not slip off. There is not necessarily a changing room, so preparing a towel you can drape over yourself or a simple poncho is reassuring. If you plan to try grass sledding, a spare pair of pants you do not mind getting dirty makes it more comfortable.

Get in at 13:30 and you can wrap up comfortably before the rest room closes at 17:30
