Rinshi-no-Mori Park Splash Pond

The Rinshi-no-Mori Park Splash Pond is a free water play area in Rinshi-no-Mori Park in Shinagawa City. The 2026 season runs from July 1 (Wed) to September 30 (Wed), from 10:00 to 14:50, in two shifts: a morning session from 10:00 to 11:50 and an afternoon session from 13:00 to 14:50. The park was formerly a forestry experiment station, and large trees gathered from across the country have grown here, so there is plenty of shade around the water play area as well. Being able to rest out of the strong sunlight means even families with small children are less likely to be drained. Admission is free and there are toilets in the park. There is no changing area, so wearing swimwear underneath or bringing a towel poncho makes getting ready smoother.

Tips

It closes every Thursday (except July 2) for inspection and cleaning. It is cancelled in bad weather or on days when the temperature is 25C or below, so check the official notices for the operating status before you leave. Because the morning and afternoon sessions are separate shifts, entering in time for the 13:00 afternoon session lets you stay until the end. There is no changing area. The park has plenty of shade, but keep drinking water regularly.
