The Shioiri Park Fountain Water Play Area is a free water play spot in Shioiri Park (汐入公園) in Arakawa City. The 2026 season runs Wed 7/1 to Wed 9/30, with hours generally given as 10:00 to 16:00. It is a filtered recirculating fountain plaza: rather than a pool that holds water, children run around among jets shooting up from the ground. Shoes must be worn, so prepare shoes or sandals that can get wet. The park stretches long and narrow along the Sumida River (隅田川), so after water play you can walk the riverside promenade or play on the large play equipment, giving you plenty of options. Admission is free and there are restrooms in the park.

Tips
Because the official 2026 announcement does not state the hours, be sure to check the opening times before you set out. Cleaning and inspection closure days are 7/10, 8/4, 8/12, 9/4 and 9/25. Sat 8/1 is closed all day for a Bon Odori dance festival. Shoes are required at the fountain, so you cannot enter barefoot. Use tree shade and a picnic sheet for sun protection, and drink water frequently.
Best time to visit
Enter at 13:10 and you can play plenty in the afternoon sun until the evening closing time
