Shiki-no-Kaori Rose Garden

About this spot

This municipal garden in Hikarigaoka, Nerima City, takes fragrance as its theme. It is divided into a rose garden and a herb garden, and in summer herbs such as mint and lavender grow vigorously, releasing a strong scent when you rub a leaf between your fingers. Rather than memorizing flower names, comparing scents and saying things like this one smells of toothpaste makes a more memorable experience for children. Admission is free, and the grounds are laid out for easy walking, so strollers can get around. Hikarigaoka Park is a short walk away, making this a fitting first stop for the day.

光が丘公園けやき広場水景施設（じゃぶじゃぶ池）は、練馬区の光が丘公園にある無料の水遊び場です。2026年のシーズンは7/1(水)〜9/30(水)、時間は10:00〜16:00で稼働します。ただし7/14〜21、8/12〜14、9/14〜16は稼働がなく、この期間に当たると水は流れません。名前のとおりけやき広場に沿って造られているため、少し離れるだけで木陰があり、休憩場所を確保しやすいのが助かるところです。料金は無料で、園内にはトイレもあります。更衣室はないので、水着を下に着ていくかタオルポンチョを用意しておくと支度が短く済みます。

Tips

7/14〜21、8/12〜14、9/14〜16は稼働なしです。急な休止は公園公式Xで告知されるため、出発前に必ず確認してください。更衣室はありません。広い公園なので、けやき広場の位置を園内マップで先に確かめておくと迷わずに済みます。木陰は多いものの日差しは強いので、水分補給をこまめに行ってください。

Tips

Check the opening hours and closed days in advance. The summer daytime sun is strong, so the earliest hours of the morning are the most comfortable. Agree beforehand not to step into the flower beds and not to break branches when smelling the plants. There is not much shade, so do not forget hats and drinks.
