Hikarigaoka Park Bird Sanctuary

About this spot

This is a protected area for wild birds in one corner of Hikarigaoka Park. The woods and pond, which people do not enter, are viewed quietly from a hut with observation windows. It is so still that you would not think it was a park near the city center, and if you listen closely, only birdsong fills the air. In summer, thick foliage makes birds harder to spot, but that brings the fun of searching by sound, and children stay focused for surprisingly long. The open days and hours are fixed, so check before visiting.

光が丘公園けやき広場水景施設（じゃぶじゃぶ池）は、練馬区の光が丘公園にある無料の水遊び場です。2026年のシーズンは7/1(水)〜9/30(水)、時間は10:00〜16:00で稼働します。ただし7/14〜21、8/12〜14、9/14〜16は稼働がなく、この期間に当たると水は流れません。名前のとおりけやき広場に沿って造られているため、少し離れるだけで木陰があり、休憩場所を確保しやすいのが助かるところです。料金は無料で、園内にはトイレもあります。更衣室はないので、水着を下に着ていくかタオルポンチョを用意しておくと支度が短く済みます。

Tips

7/14〜21、8/12〜14、9/14〜16は稼働なしです。急な休止は公園公式Xで告知されるため、出発前に必ず確認してください。更衣室はありません。広い公園なので、けやき広場の位置を園内マップで先に確かめておくと迷わずに済みます。木陰は多いものの日差しは強いので、水分補給をこまめに行ってください。

Tips

The open days and hours are limited, so be sure to check in advance. The rule inside is no loud voices. Binoculars widen the fun, but you can see plenty through the observation windows without them. Mosquitoes appear in summer, so bringing insect repellent makes the visit more comfortable.
