The Mizumoto Park Fountain Plaza (Water Play Area) is a free water play area in Mizumoto Park (水元公園) in Katsushika City. The 2026 season runs Wed 7/1 to Wed 9/30 from 9:00 to 16:00, with the fountain pausing between 12:00 and 13:00. Mizumoto Park is the only park in Tokyo with a true waterside landscape: rows of poplars and a forest of dawn redwoods follow a long, narrow pond called Koaidame (小合溜), spreading into scenery you would not expect in Tokyo. There is plenty of shade around the Fountain Plaza as well, so you can rest as soon as you tire of playing. Admission is free, and there are restrooms and a shop in the park. It opens at 9:00, making it easy to rework your plan to play from the morning.

Tips

Inspection and cleaning closure days are 8/12, 8/18, 9/4 and 9/15. The fountain pauses from 12:00 to 13:00. The park is extremely large, so depending on the parking lot or entrance you use, the walk to the Fountain Plaza can be long. Check the park map in advance. Mosquitoes are common by the water, so insect repellent makes the visit more comfortable.
