The Pocket Oasis Shimizu Splash Pond and Stream is a free water-play area in Shimizu, Meguro City. The 2026 operating period runs from Wednesday, July 1 to Wednesday, September 30, from 9:00 to 16:30, and the city's official wording is from the first week of July until around the end of September. As the name suggests, it is a plaza as small as a pocket, with the feel of a waterside opened up on its own in the middle of a residential district. The water is disinfected with chlorine and other treatments and is shallow, so even small children who have just started walking can move around on their own feet. Because it is not large, it is easy to keep everyone in view, which also suits a first water-play outing. Admission is free, so you can head out casually on the day you think of it.
