Ebara Minami Park Mist-Spraying Rock Hill (Water Play)

About this spot

The Ebara Minami Park Mist-Spraying Rock Hill (Water Play) is a free water-play spot in Ebara Minami Park (荏原南公園) in Shinagawa City (品川区). A rock-hill play structure that sprays mist sits on an artificial-turf plaza, and the mist bursts out for five minutes every 30 minutes. Rather than soaking in water like a pool, children run through the white mist and clamber up the rock hill, which makes it easy to join in even for children who dislike water. The park also has large combination playground equipment, a sandpit and a multi-purpose plaza, so the fun never stops between bursts. For 2026 the expected period is roughly Wed, July 1 to Wed, September 30, from 9:00 to 16:30, but the city's official wording each year says only that it operates until around autumn, without stating an end date. Admission is free.

Tips

The operating period and end date are not officially stated, so check the operating status on the Shinagawa City official page before you set out. The mist runs for five minutes every 30 minutes, so confirm the timing on site and plan the order of play accordingly to make the most of your time. Artificial turf gets slippery when wet, so have children wear sandals with a heel strap. Clothes get thoroughly wet in the mist, so bring a change of clothes and a towel for everyone.

Best time to visit

Arrive by 14:00 and you can experience about five spray cycles while playing right through to 16:30
