Nishirokugo Park (Tire Park) (西六郷公園(タイヤ公園))

Flow of the course

About this spot

Nishirokugo Park is an Ota City park affectionately known as Tire Park, thanks to play equipment made entirely of assembled old tires filling the grounds. The large equipment shaped like monsters and robots is striking, and children visiting for the first time first look up in surprise, then start climbing. There are also mounds of stacked tires and small tires you can roll around and play with, and kids invent their own ways to play. As a ward park, admission is free, and there are restrooms too. Getting thoroughly active here before the afternoon's water play gives the day a nice rhythm.

Tips

The tires heat up in the summer sun, so it's safer to play in the early morning. Hands can get black from the tires, so wet wipes are handy to bring. Shade is limited, so a hat and water are essential. Wear clothes you can move easily in, and shoes that won't fall off.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 20 minutes. The morning, before the equipment heats up, is recommended.
