About this spot
Keyaki Park Wading Pool is a free water-play spot in Nakano Ward's Keyaki Park. In 2026 it operates from Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, August 16, from 10:00 to 16:00, running in two sessions: 10:00-12:00 and 13:00-16:00. The pool covers 21.2 square meters and is only about 20cm deep, shallow enough for children just learning to walk to stand on their own feet. The water is tap water, changed daily and managed with chlorine, so children can play with peace of mind about hygiene. It is on the smaller side among the wading pools in the ward, making it a good first water-play spot for children who might be afraid of larger pools. Admission is free.
Season & hours
Name: けやき公園 じゃぶじゃぶ池
Date & time: 7/18 (Sat)–8/16 (Sun) 10:00–16:00 ※10:00–12:00と13:00–16:00の2部制。雨天・水温22度以下は休止
Venue: 中野区・けやき公園 じゃぶじゃぶ池
Tips
It closes on rainy days and when the water temperature is 22C or below. Even in summer, on cool mornings the water may not warm up enough and the pool may close, so check the operating status on Nakano Ward's official website or the on-site signage before you head out. It is closed from 12:00 to 13:00 for the water change. If your plan spans lunchtime, arriving in time for the 13:00 reopening avoids any waiting. Having children wear water shoes helps prevent injuries to their feet. Bodies cool down after getting out of the water, so bringing something to wear over their swimsuit is reassuring.
Best time to visit
Arrive by 13:10 and you can play for nearly 3 hours until closing at 16:00.
