A mixed-use commercial building located past the Sun Mall shopping street from Nakano Station's north exit. With specialty shops packed wall-to-wall selling manga, figures, old toys, watches, and antiques, walking through the passages is a continuous string of discoveries, drawing visitors from Japan and abroad. Being indoors, you can escape the sun, which is also a relief for families looking to stay cool during a midsummer morning. There are grocery stores and eateries in the basement, where you can have lunch or pick up a bento. From here, you can reach the venue, Keyaki Park, by train and on foot.

Tips

Business hours and closed days vary by shop, so check in advance if there is a particular shop you want to visit. Some passages are narrow and difficult to navigate with a stroller, so a baby carrier is reassuring. Remind children not to touch the items on display. Since the afternoon session starts at 13:00, finishing lunch early enough to leave by 12:20 will give you plenty of time to move.

About 1 hour 10 minutes. Finishing lunch inside the building makes moving around easier in the afternoon.
