About this spot

Miyanodai Children's Park Splash Pool is a free water play spot at Miyanodai Children's Park in Nakano Ward. In 2026 it operates from Saturday, July 18 through Sunday, August 16, from 10:00 to 16:00, in two sessions, 10:00-12:00 and 13:00-16:00. The pool covers 28.8 square meters with a depth of about 30 centimeters, just right for small children to crouch and play in. The water is tap water, refreshed daily and treated with chlorine, so children can play there with peace of mind for hygiene. Since it's inside the children's park, kids can switch to the playground equipment after getting out of the water. It's within walking distance of Shin-Nakano and Nakano-shimbashi stations, and admission is free.

Tips

It closes on rainy days and when the water temperature falls to 22 degrees Celsius or below. Check the operating status on Nakano Ward's official page or the on-site notice board before heading out. It is closed from 12:00 to 13:00 for changeover. Arriving in time for the 13:00 reopening lets you play the whole afternoon session without waiting. Getting out of the water can leave you feeling chilly, so bringing something to throw on is reassuring. Water shoes help protect little feet from injury.

Best time to visit

Enter right at the 13:00 reopening for a full 3 hours of play until closing at 16:00
