The Aguri no Oka Hill Water Plaza Splash Pool is a free water play spot located in the park's relaxation area. In 2026, the official announcement on July 20 declared 'The splash pool has opened!', and the fountains run daily from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM through the summer vacation period until August 31. The layout connects fountains to a babbling water channel, with a water depth of about 10cm. Since it isn't deep, even children who have just started walking can enter safely with a guardian holding their hand. Some kids stand under the fountain to get splashed, others just keep walking along the channel, and others sit and watch the water's surface — the freedom to choose how to play is what makes this place special. Since the park also has an animal area and Aguri Dome, when kids get tired of the water they can move to another activity and come back later. The breeze crossing the hilltop feels just right against bodies cooled by the water, making it an ideal spot to spend a summer afternoon.

Tips

Use is free of charge. It may be closed in cases of strong wind or bad weather, so check the official announcements and the forecast before heading out. Entering the water fully nude, or wearing diapers (including swim diapers), is not allowed. Please bring a swimsuit or clothes you don't mind getting wet. Water balloons are also prohibited. The bottom of the channel can be slippery in places, so water shoes help prevent slipping and add peace of mind. Bring a full change of clothes for everyone, and don't forget plastic bags for wet clothing. Since the fountains stop at 4:00 PM, it's best to start wrapping up around 3:30 PM to allow time to change and pack up calmly before heading home.

Best time to visit

About 2 hours 30 minutes. Starting from 1:30 PM lets you slightly avoid peak sunlight while still getting plenty of play time before the 4:00 PM close
