A rest hub at the heart of the National Alps Azumino Park (国営アルプスあづみの公園) Omachi/Matsukawa District, facing a wide open prairie. An unobstructed lawn spreads out in front of you — just set down your bags and spread a picnic sheet to claim your family's spot. Grabbing a bite here before the afternoon's water play also lets you organize your change of clothes and belongings all in one place. The park also has the Forest Experience Hall (森の体験舎) and an elevated walkway through the woods (林の中の空中回廊), so a short walk after lunch lets you enjoy the cool shade. Admission is 450 yen for adults, free for junior-high age and under, and 210 yen for seniors, with free parking. This single admission fee covers everything through Splash Land (スプラッシュランド) in the afternoon.
