About this spot
Splash Land (スプラッシュランド) at the National Alps Azumino Park (国営アルプスあづみの公園) Omachi/Matsukawa District in Omachi City is a seasonal large water-play pool listed on the official website. In 2026, it runs from July 19 to August 31. Because it's an artificial water-play facility, water depth and equipment are carefully managed, so even young children can play safely. Splash Land itself is free — the only cost is the park's admission fee. After drying off, you can switch to hands-on play at the Forest Experience Hall (森の体験舎) or walk the elevated woodland walkway (林の中の空中回廊) to enjoy the cool shade, letting you build a full day's itinerary entirely within the park. Sitting at higher elevation and surrounded by trees, the air here is also cooler than in town — a feature unique to this park.

Date & time: 7月19日–8月31日 (公式サイト掲載の期間限定)

Tips
Splash Land is free, but there is a separate park admission fee: 450 yen for adults, free for junior-high age and under, and 210 yen for seniors. Parking is free. It runs from July 19 to August 31, so water play isn't available outside this period. Check the park's official website for the day's operating status and hours before heading out. Bring a full change of wet-friendly clothes and underwear for everyone, plus a plastic bag for wet clothing. Once the sun goes down it can get suddenly cool, so packing a light layer will keep evenings comfortable too.
Best time to visit
Arrive between 1 and 2pm for plenty of time until evening — alternate between water play and the Forest Experience Hall.
