About this spot

Kitagata Daini Park Mini Pool is an outdoor mini pool inside Ichikawa City's Kitagata Daini Park, designed for children from toddlers to third grade. In 2026 it is open from Saturday, July 18 to Monday, August 31. Because the water is designed to be shallow, even little ones who aren't used to the water can play while standing on their own feet, which is reassuring for parents. There's no large-scale equipment, but that also means the pace is relaxed and it's easy for parents to keep an eye on their children. It's exactly the kind of neighborhood summer spot that local kids come to by bike or on foot. The trees surrounding the park are also a welcome touch, since you can always find some shade to rest in.

Tips

The pool is closed every Friday, but is scheduled to be open on July 24 and August 7, check the day of the week before heading out. Since the target age range is toddlers through third grade, if older siblings are joining, check on-site whether they're allowed to use the pool. Check Ichikawa City's information for the latest details on opening hours, fees, and rules on what to bring. Rules on swim diapers also vary by facility, so it's worth confirming that as well.

Best time to visit

Entering at 1pm gives about 3 hours until evening. Little ones should rest along the way and play at a comfortable pace
