About this spot

Daikyo Nishikawa Square Pool (Hofu City Sports Center Pool) in Hofu City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, is an outdoor pool open to the public from Tuesday, July 21 through Monday, August 31 in 2026. With a 25m pool, kiddie pool, lazy river, and water slide, it's a remarkably well-rounded facility for a municipal pool. The pleasant sensation of drifting on an inner tube along the lazy river as the scenery slides by is something you'll want to enjoy again and again, and the water slide is hugely popular with elementary schoolers, making even the wait in line a fun memory. A shallow kiddie pool is available for little ones, so families with children of different ages can all enjoy themselves. Admission is 550 yen for adults and high schoolers, 220 yen for elementary and junior high schoolers, 110 yen for young children (age 4 and up), free for those age 3 and under, and half price for people with disabilities and their caregivers.
