Taihoshi Park (大法師公園)

Flow of the course

About this spot

This park sits on a hilltop in Fujikawa Town and is known as a cherry blossom spot. In summer, leafy trees create shade, and walking the park paths feels pleasant as the breeze passes through. From the open areas you can look out over the flow of the Fuji River and the southern end of the Kofu Basin, giving a real sense of the expanse of this mountain-ringed land. There's also a plaza with play equipment, where children can have some fun. It's close to the pool venue too, making it a good stop to round off the morning.

Tips

Admission is free and there is parking available. There are slopes within the park, so wear shoes that are easy to walk in. Sunny stretches get hot, so bring a hat and something to drink. Mosquitoes appear in summer, so insect repellent will keep things comfortable. Walking too much can affect your afternoon, so wrapping up in about 50 minutes is a good balance.

Best time to visit

About 50 minutes needed. The morning is comfortable, when you can choose to walk in the shade of the trees
