About this spot

A mountain hot spring located in Asahi-cho, Hamada City. Rather than a flashy hot spring town, this is a calm setting where day-use bathing facilities are scattered through a quiet mountain village. Surrounded by deep greenery, you can relax while taking in the scenery outside the windows. As this is a dedicated day-use bathing facility with no restaurant, it's a good idea to have lunch at a stop before or after your visit. Since you'll be heading to the pool afterward, it's best to keep your bath short, or just use the facility for a rest and meal. Asahi Park, where the pool is located, is just a few minutes away by car.

Tips

Reception hours for day-use bathing and the operating hours and closed days of dining facilities vary by location, so please check in advance. Soaking too long before the pool can leave you tired, so it's best to focus mainly on resting. In this mountainous area, mobile phone signal can be weak in some spots. Parking is available.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour. Good for combining a midday meal with a rest before the pool.
