The Onan Town Youth Travel Village Pool (邑南町青少年旅行村プール) is a summer-only outdoor pool located in the Onan Town Youth Travel Village, surrounded by the green of the Chugoku Mountains. In 2026 it's open from July 18 to August 30. Its biggest highlight is a water slide 9 meters high and 73 meters long, recently renewed with a fluororesin coating for a smoother ride than before. The 50-meter pool is great for swim practice, and the kids' pool, about 50cm deep, has its own small slide so little ones can enjoy their own slide too. Snacks and drinks are sold poolside, which makes it easy to settle in for the whole day.

Tips

For visitors from outside town, admission is 550 yen for adults and 250 yen for elementary through high school students, and free for children under elementary school age. Using the campground brings the price down to 300 yen for adults and 150 yen for elementary through high school students. Closed every Wednesday. Because the location is at high altitude, the pool may close due to weather. Check the facility's official information for the day's opening status before you head out. It feels cool once you get out of the water, so bring something to throw on so you don't get chilled.

Best time to visit

Entering in the early afternoon lets you make repeated trips down the slide until evening.
