About this spot

A mountain forest park in Nomi-cho, Etajima City, where the observation deck near the summit offers a panoramic view of the Seto Inland Sea and the surrounding islands. The layered islands floating on the water and the boats passing between them let you grasp at a glance just what kind of landscape Etajima sits within. You can drive all the way to the summit, which is a relief for families with young children. The park is also known as a cherry-blossom spot, but in summer the trees are thick with green, and you can rest in the shade while catching the sea breeze.

Tips

Part of the road to the summit is narrow, so allow plenty of time when driving. The observation deck offers little shade, so bring a hat. There is no shop, so bring your own drinks. It's about a 10-minute drive to Nomi Junior High School.
