This large museum stands on a hill in Uwa-cho, Seiyo City, and covers the history and folklore of Ehime. The highlight is the exhibit that reproduces old townscapes and houses at full scale, which you can walk through as if entering the houses themselves. Many of the displays are easy to understand just by looking, without needing to read the explanatory text, which is great for keeping even elementary school children engaged. The museum is air-conditioned, making it a perfect place to spend a hot morning. Since it sits on a hill, the view of the basin from the building is also pleasantly open.

The museum is closed on Mondays, so check which day of the week you're visiting.
